Shot peening of spring leaves serves not only for surface cleaning before coating, but primarily introduces beneficial compressive residual stresses to dramatically increase fatigue life.
A special technological variant is stress peening (shot peening in prestressed condition), where spring leaves are precisely prestressed in specialized fixtures during the peening process.
We supply various customized solutions: Stress shot peening lines for parabolic springs and trailing arms, shot peening machines for coil springs, and continuous-flow peening lines.
